Hey mommas! I’m 8 months 2 weeks pp, ftm, first c section, really curious to see if anyone else’s c section scar is in healing process or if they can provide some guidance on what I should do. Parts of it look healed already and don’t show but should I be worried about the bumpy area? Me and hubby are trying for second already, do you guys think it would be safe? I’m trying to get in touch with my OB for assistance but she hasn’t gotten back yet

Mine looks a little similar. Not as much thick scar tissue as you but similar. I think it's still healing but I think you're not supposed to get pregnant for 18 months after a c section but I could be wrong .

During my 6 week appointment my OB asked if we’re gonna be using any birth control I told her we’re gonna just use pull out method til we want to start trying again she basically didn’t give me a time frame or anything, I asked if it would be a problem she’s like if I get pregnant by accident it would be fine lol so I’m hoping I’ll be ok

Yeah I get random pains still and if my LO puts pressure on it it'll hurt. It's still pretty numb too.

I declined birth control as well and just using pull out method but ob told me if I get pregnant before 6months post partum it can increase complications but she suggested to wait 12-15 months to have another baby… my mother had a c section with my brother then got pregnant with my sister and she had complications sister was also born premature

I just looked up the recommended time, it says research shows at least 6 months to avoid any complications but doctors may suggest waiting 12-18 months. If I’m not pregnant I guess I’ll wait a few more months. Idk why I still have this thing in my head of trying to have all kids before 30, I’ll be 28 when my LO turns 1 so I feel like my clock is ticking lol, I need to get that mentality out of my head and maybe I’ll stop stressing so much about giving birth before 30. I also just wanted there to be a small difference between the kids

Don’t stress mama just wait a few more months to be safe and avoid complications and I definitely want to finish having my kids before 30 as well but even when things don’t go planned having a baby after 30 isn’t so bad we’re still young enjoy your little one

My OB emailed me back she said it’s a keloid scar and she said that maybe during next c section she would put in steroid to stop the keloiding. She also told me to wait til LO is 10 months to start trying lol so I hope I’m not pregnant already!
